Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party provider that supplies results. We do not save a separate copy of those searches on our servers. A message sent to us contains only what you choose to provide, and we use that information to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create standard logs that may contain an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregated data helps us maintain the site and see which pages visitors use. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may also rely on cookies or similar technology.
How We Use Information
We use this limited information to run the site, diagnose faults, measure aggregate traffic, and improve content. We neither sell visitor lists nor create profiles about individual users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Pittsburg People Search links to government portals, Contra Costa and California offices, library collections, and third-party search services. Information sent to a linked service is governed by that service's privacy policy. The same rule applies to sponsored search results supplied by another company.
When Information Is Shared
Hosting and support providers process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We may disclose information when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise distribute visitor data.
Safeguards and Retention
An encrypted connection serves the site, and server logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes. Because visitors do not create accounts, we hold no site password or user profile for them.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information so that we can remove it.
California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act may give California residents rights to know about, correct, delete, or opt out of certain uses of personal information held by a covered business. The Delete Act framework also regulates registered data brokers. Because we retain little information, a request usually concerns our contact mailbox or server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Government records held by Pittsburg, Contra Costa County, or California offices remain outside our control, so correction or confidentiality requests must go to the record custodian.

Any revised policy will be posted here. Continued use after a revision takes effect indicates acceptance of the new policy.
